Valencia CF to wear pink armbands against Atletico Madrid in support of fight against breast cancer

Along with digital content, the first and second men and women’s teams will show their support for the International Day Against Breast Cancer in their weekend games
To mark the International Day Against Breast Cancer on October 19th (part of the World Health Organisation’s International Breast Cancer Awareness Month), Valencia CF will wear pink armbands in their LaLiga game against Atletico Madrid on Saturday (4pm CEST). Their opponents will also take part in the initiative.
Valencia CF thus join the cause to raise awareness of the importance of research and rapid diagnosis against the most frequent form of cancer amongsst women, which leads to over 400,000 deaths per year around the world. One in 8 women will suffer from the disease over the course of their lives.
Besides this initiative, both VCF Mestalla and the VCF Femenino first and second teams will also wear pink armbands in their league fixtures, and special digital content will be produced involving both the men and women’s first teams.
